George Ernest Wright
King George 5th is on the thorne.
George was born 13th September 1911 in Kew Surrey he was the son of
Earnest John WRIGHT (known as Ernest)
And Alice Maud RHODES ( known as Muad(e) ).
George's Father moved away from the family home days after the last child was born in January 1920
George married Ethel Ruth MILTON on the
30th April 1930
Due to all the children are still alive details are restricted to names
So between 1931 and 1940 there was 4 children
Ernie, Marion, Ronald and John
World War 2 breaks out on the 3rd
The family was bombed during world war 2 and as a result moved out to south Norwood where they remained
George by the time of the war was a master baker and therefore did his part for his country by feeding The people
World War 2 ends on the 8th May 1945
The way I'm told it when Ethel fell Ill in 1971 George got a Nurse in to care for her when she left hospital
but Ethel dies in hospital on the 29th May 1972, never having coming home.
family tell me this nurse remains with George as a companion and George pays her rent up to his death
when she informs the family and moves back to her flat ( I would love
to know who this lady is and how to contact her)
George dies on the 18th February 1987 at Mayday hospital Croydon Surrey.
